उन पन्नों में छिपे हुए थे कुछ लफ़्ज़ अनकहे,

निहारा जा रहा था जिनमें अक्स अपना,

कुछ घायल दिलों की ज़बानी थी उनमें,

सींचे गए पौधों की कहानी भी थी उनमें। 

किसी के इंतज़ार में बेहिसाब घंटे गुजारने का ज़िक्र था उनमें,

वात्सल्य में गुजरे पलों की गवाही थी उनमें,

भिन्न ऋतुओं में लिखी कविताओं का जिक्र, था उनमें,

कईयों की आत्मकथा का वर्णन था उनमें।

Translation:-

A few unspoken words were hidden on those pages,

In which reflections of oneself was being stared at,

Narration of some injured hearts were on them,

Stories of irrigated plants were also on them.

Mention of spending endless hours waiting for someone were on them,

Evidence of moments passed in parental love were on them,

References of poems written in different seasons were on them,

Autobiography of many were described on them.
